Client’s challenges

In order to enhance their testing services, our client sought Managed Testing Services to handle the testing operations for their global IT projects, specifically focusing on deploying and enhancing their SAP landscape and associated systems.

Enabling the new service provider in a test factory required the provision of knowledge and understanding regarding current business processes during the onboarding phase.

However, our client faced the challenge of rare and insufficient knowledge transfer between partners, which was accompanied by undocumented and, in some cases, incompletely documented processes. The handover timeline was very short due to contractual obligations, and the necessary stakeholders were unclear. The main question that was raised: how to measure and prove the successful knowledge transfer?

Sixsentix’s solution

To address these challenges, Sixsentix took on the responsibility of managing, setting up, and moderating knowledge transfer sessions. We ensured the participation of all relevant stakeholders, facilitated feedback polls, and maintained open communication with the client through chat, email, and weekly feedback sessions. Additionally, playback sessions were conducted, allowing the new service provider to prove their comprehension of the processes.

The knowledge transfer (KT) sessions provided a comprehensive overview of the business processes, focusing on customer-specific customizations, end-to-end scenarios, test cases, testing considerations, challenges, dependencies on third-party systems, applications, and the identification process for test data.

The playback (PB) sessions were designed to assess the level of knowledge, where the new service provider demonstrated their understanding of the topics, which were then reviewed and accepted by the client.
